I DO

As the wind gushes through,
The beautiful face hidden by the veil,
Misty eyes, scared face,
As she walks down the aisle,
Clutched arm in her Pa's hand,
Sensing his joy and sorrow at once,
Walks she in her snow white,
Maidens running behind,
Carnations in her hand, trembling with excitement,
As she comes to the fore,
Feels the protective arm round her,
Her world, her man to be,
As he smiles and slips the ring,
She hears the words she longed to hear,
"I DO",
And whispers them back,
"I DO",
Blushing, tears running down, the radiance on her face,
As he presses his lips to her,
Drowning in his secure arms all she hears...
"I DO".
